Snow Removal Information
1.  When you know there is going to be an accumulation of
snow, park in your driveway and not in the street.
This allows for the snow-plow operators to increase the
     width of the travel lane.

2.  Never plow, push or shovel snow from your sidewalk and
driveways into the street.  This may result in a citation and
     monetary fine.

3.  Be patient.  Everyone is as important as everyone else.
The street you reside on will get plowed.

4.  For those that reside adjacent to fire hydrants, please
remove the snow from surrounding hydrants and create
access to the hydrant from the street.

5.  Please remember that public sidewalks are the

homeowner's responsibility to make passable via snow removal for the safety of the public.
If you reside on a corner lot, attempt to free the corner area of the sidewalk of snow near the
    intersection.

6. Snow Emergency Regulations -
Radio stations WGTY, WHVR and WYCR  and TV stations WGAL and Fox43 are notified
when a snow emergency is declared.  They will post the snow emergency as part of their
    notifications.
There is NO PARKING on streets posted as Snow Emergency Routes.

7.  Clean the roofs of your vehicles off before traveling on the roadway.
Snow and ice may slip or blow off your roof and visually impair vehicles traveling behind you.
