Environmental Advisory Council
The Conewago Township Board of Supervisors is seeking interested persons to fill the vacancies on the Environmental Advisory Council. This Council, of which is advisory to the Township Board of Supervisors, consists of 5 residents of Conewago Township. Term: 3 years.
Council Undertakings:
? Identify environmental problems.
? Recommend plans and programs to the appropriate agencies for the
promotion and conservation of the natural resources and for the protection
and improvement of the quality of the environment within the area of
Conewago Township.
? Make recommendations as to the possible use of open land areas of
Conewago Township
? Promote a community environmental program
? Keep an index of all open areas, publically or privately owned, including, but
not limited to, flood prone areas, swamps and other unique natural areas.
? Advise the appropriate local governmental agencies in the acquisition of
property, both real and personal.
? To undertake such environmental tasks as requested by the Board of
Supervisors of Conewago Township
Volunteer applications available at the Conewago Township Municipal Office during regular business hours (Monday: 8am to 6pm; Tuesday to Friday: 8am to 4pm).
